Yael Uzan-Tidhar is a project manager and change leader with over 15 years of experience in development work in Eswatini. Born and raised in Israel, Yael moved to Eswatini in 1999. Her management career started at the Times of Eswatini and Swaziland International Irrigation before she changed her focus from the private sector to civic society.
Yael started her development career in 2008, as the Programme Director of boMake Rural Projects, a local NGO. She worked with 770 women and their communities, developing education, health, and women empowerment programs. In 2015 Yael co-established the Nhloso Likusasa Le’lichakazile, a youth development non-profit organization. She created the Likusasa Letfu model to support youth after high school.
Yael holds a BA in Business and Media and an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, achieving distinctions in both. In 2022, she graduated from the NGO WhispererTM Global Leadership course. Yael’s voluntary work includes being the representative of the Eswatini Jewish Community, Chairperson of charities, NGOs and parents’ associations.
